This concept arose from a personal effort aimed to turn the Web a better place. Actually there are a lot of web designers doing the same right now, and the magical words are "Web Standards". Like a useless newspaper, many websites are being daily discarded by their owners and target; therefore it's time to attack the reasons.
A good website must be valuable, useful, visible, quick and accessible; otherwise it is not worthy of viewing. But, you must be thinking that we need more than a well constructed website to achieve such result. What about the content, the information itself? I've identified several major companies and organizations that have migrated or are migrating to the web standards and here you can find a list with some of them.
By providing an accessible website a company will be capable to communicate more efficiently with their target, avoiding problems related to complaints or website abandonment.
